We went to a new restaurant and it’s name is Poet. It’s in the Greater Iqbal Park, which is very popular for its fountain show (that we missed, by the way).

When we were about to enter, there were two guards at the entrance who had spikes with them. They gave a very eastern royal look. Here are the pictures!

Also at the entrance, we saw four birds. We also took some pictures of the birds. You could take as many selfies as you want 🙂 Here you can see macaws and a hawk!

In the front of the restaurant there is a fountain, we put our hands in it. The water in there was so cold as it was December. You can check out the picture:

We sat outdoors, but it was freezing cold. They did put the heaters on but I was so cold! The place is very beautifully decorated, there was an amazing tree and it was brightly colored with lights. We took a picture that too!

The lights above were also very cool, I took a picture of a spoon and it had the reflection of the lights, it looked so glittery.

The restaurant offers desi food, we didn’t take the pictures of the starters but the soup and fish were great. We ordered Biryani and a couple of gravies. The food was great but, for me, it was so spicy! Here are the pictures of our food. Sorry I don’t recall the names of the dishes:

Biryani

The best dish, however, was the Shahi Tukra for desert. Not only it tasted awesome but they presentation was so cool. When they put water on the dry ice it made a lot of white smoke. Not the dangerous kind, but it looked pretty and fun 🙂

Apart from the lovely food, there are musicians that come and play your favorite song on flute and violin. Overall it makes a very pleasant environment.

We also ordered green tea (which is pink actually) with lots of pistachios, it tasted so well in the cold weather. At least that is what my mom said because I don’t have tea 😀

After the food, we went on a shuttle to see the Greater Iqbal Park. I can share many photos, it is a well maintained park. It is better to come in the day so that you can see all the greenery and enjoy the whole view. Check out the picture of the Minar-e-Pakistan at night:

One could also see the Badshahi Mosque from the restaurant but it was very foggy that night, we could not see it that well.

There is Bundu Khan next to the Poet as well, it is very well decorated as well with elephants:

When we were about to leave, my family enjoyed the Pans. They were good but too sweet. My sister and I don’t like the pans.

I hope you like my blog. If you do, leave a comment bellow. My mom will tell me! Bye.
