Lahore International Film Festival is a project of The Little Art that showcases the best local and international films and dramas made especially for or about children. Along with entertainment, education, and film festivals play an important role in promoting alternative education among children and youth every year, the festival brings a delightful array of the finest international films for children to Pakistan, with the aim of nurturing creativity and embracing the richness of diverse cultures and arts. Since its inception in 2008, the festival has completed nine successful seasons, leaving an indelible mark on young audiences. It has become a cherished platform for showcasing cinematic excellence and creating memorable experiences for children across the country. It has been watched by 451,550 viewers.

The Lahore International Children’s Film Festival (LICFF) has quickly become a significant event on Lahore’s calendar. As Pakistan’s only international film festival for children, LICFF delights audiences with a captivating selection of films and engaging activities. With its growing popularity, LICFF has become an eagerly anticipated annual celebration, bringing the magic of cinema to young audiences and fostering a love for storytelling and the arts.
Along with education and entertainment, the film festival is dedicated to promoting film, social media literacy, and alternative education among children and youth. Every year the festival brings many best international films for children to promote peace, creativity, social awareness, world cultures, and arts in Pakistan.
The festival attracts around 50,000 children and youth every year, from urban to rural areas. The festival has a holistic approach to include marginalized and underprivileged children as the audience. We must work with NGOs and community organizations to show the world’s best films to out-of-school and disadvantaged children across Pakistan – this shows quality films to thousands of children across Pakistan every year.
