About two weeks ago, we decided to take the kids on a little adventure to Knole Park. Nestled in the heart of Kent, Knole Park is a sprawling estate that combines natural beauty with a sense of history. Our visit lasted a couple of hours, but it was packed with fun and memorable moments.
A Swift Tour Through History
Upon arrival, we embarked on a tour of the park’s centerpiece, the grand Knole House. The castle tour itself was relatively short, lasting only 40 minutes, but it was filled with fascinating insights into the estate’s rich history. The house, which dates back to the 15th century, is a treasure trove of historical artifacts, architecture, and stories. The kids were intrigued by the grandeur of the rooms and the sense of stepping back in time.

Coffee and Deer: A Perfect Combination
After our brief tour of the castle, we took a moment to unwind with a cup of coffee. The park has a few cozy spots where you can sit and enjoy a warm drink while soaking in the serene atmosphere. As we sipped our coffee, we were delighted to spot a few deer wandering nearby. Knole Park is famous for its wild deer, and they didn’t disappoint. The kids were absolutely fascinated, watching the deer graze and play in their natural habitat.

Freedom to Run and Play
With coffee cups emptied and the deer scampering off, we let the kids loose to run around in the open park. The vast, green spaces of Knole Park are perfect for children to expend their energy. They ran, laughed, and explored, completely absorbed in the moment. There’s something wonderful about watching children enjoy the simple pleasures of nature—no gadgets, no screens, just pure, unbridled joy.
