Trim, a charming heritage town in Ireland, is known for its rich history, stunning castle, and picturesque river. But if you’re a steak lover, there’s another reason to visit—Stockhouse Restaurant. I can confidently say that the best steak I’ve had in Trim so far comes from this spot. In fact, it ranks as the second-best steak I’ve had in all of Ireland!

A Special Celebration at Stockhouse

We recently visited Stockhouse to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. She’s a huge steak fan, so it was the perfect place for a special meal. Almost all of us ordered the sirloin steak, and let me tell you—it was phenomenal! Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.

One of the best parts of the experience was trying different sauces. I personally loved the mushroom sauce, while my daughters preferred the garlic butter—both excellent choices that added extra richness to the already delicious steak.

Endless Options for Sides

At Stockhouse, you can customize your meal with a variety of potato options. Whether you like them thin-cut, thick-cut, mashed, or baked, there’s something for every preference. We tried a few different styles, but no matter how they were prepared, they complemented the steak perfectly.

A Word of Caution—It’s Hot!

One thing to note: the food is served piping hot! It’s fresh off the grill, so be careful when taking that first bite. But honestly, that just adds to the experience—there’s nothing worse than a lukewarm steak, and Stockhouse ensures you get it fresh and sizzling.

Final Thoughts

If you ever find yourself in Trim and crave a top-quality steak, Stockhouse is the place to go. From perfectly cooked steaks to a great selection of sauces and sides, it’s a meal you won’t forget. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
