Asad Hafeez: 

Asad Hafeez is a Pakistani physician serving as Director General Health in Regulation and Coordination since 2010. In the year 2010, Hafeez took on the role of Director General of Health within the Ministry of National Health Services for Regulation and Coordination. In this capacity, he managed and led various initiatives including the delivery of the National Health Insurance Program designed to cover a population of over 100 million people. He is also Dean of the Health Services Academy at Quaid-e-Azam University, where he is responsible for providing policy and other advice to the government.

Tahir Sultan Shamsi:

Tahir Sultan Shamsi (18 February 1962 – 21 December 2021) was a Pakistani professor of medicine and a pioneer of bone marrow transplantation in Pakistan. He has served as a clinical hematologist and bone marrow transplant physician. He established the National Institute for Blood Diseases (NIBD) and held the position of Director for the Stem Cell Program within the institute.

Shamsi was born on February 18, 1962, and memorized the Holy Quran at eight. He graduated from Dow Medical College in 1988 and completed a postgraduate degree from the Royal College of Pathologists. After returning from the UK, the doctor performed the first successful transplant in Pakistan in 1995 and has done 650 bone marrow transplants so far. He died of a stroke on 21 December 2021 at the age of 59.

Prof. Abdul Bari Khan:

Prof. Abdul Bari Khan was born in 1961 in Karachi. He completed his MBBS from Dow Medical College. Abdul Bari Khan is a Pakistani cardiac surgeon and the founder of Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) and served as CEO of the network from 2007 to 2022.

Abdul Jameel Khan

Abdul Jameel Khan was a Pakistani doctor and hospital chairman born on 12 January 1930 – he did his early education at F.C. (Foreman Christian) College Lahore and later completed his MBBS from King Edward Medical College. He went to the UK for higher education and obtained degrees like DCH, MRCP, and FRCP. He is the Pakistani chairman of a private medical university. He died on 17 October 2021.
